A house for the people

The first sitting of House of the People took place at the venerable Conway Hall in Holborn, London in July 2025. A group of 100 citizens, selected by sortition and delegated from local assemblies that were organised in the first part of 2025 deliberated on the important issues of our day in order to agree on a People's Charter.

We designed a modular visual identity that was applied to boxes (that doubles up as lock-ons for those so inclined) serving as a physical manifestation of the building blocks of the House of the People

A range of printed assets guided the participants through the process, presented key facts and helped the facilitators guide the deliberations

An outreach campaign featuring bus stop posters and leaflets preceded the event.
